Lee Si Young fue originalmente elegida para el rol principal en el special drama de la MBC “Gesture“, que sería transmitida el 5 de setiembre. La MBC como sea señaló en un anuncio oficial el 23 que las noticias de Lee Si Young como parte del cast en el rol femenino principal no eran ciertas.
Un representante de la MBC dijo "Ya que el contrato no estaba firmado a la fecha, siempre es posioble cambiar al elenco. Como sea es verdad que la guionista Lim Sung-han tenía en mente a Lee Si Young para el rol principal. Pero se decidió que debido al interés del público y los medios y los rumores sobre la actriz, pueden afectar el drama en forma negativa. Por ello es que han decidido no seleccionarla para el nuevo drama"
Eng: Lee Si Young was originally cast to be the female lead in the upcoming MBC special drama, “Gesture“, set to air this coming September 5th, but was immediately kicked to the curb once she went public about her relationship. MBC, however, released an official statement on the 23rd stating that any published news regarding Lee Si-young being officially cast as the female lead in the drama were, in fact, not true.
One representative of MBC stated,
Since no contract was signed at the time, it is always possible to change the cast. However, it is true that script writer Lim Sung-han did have Lee Si-young in mind for the main female role. But it has been decided that due to the public and media’s extensive interest and talk (rumors) about the actress, could affect the drama in a negative way. Hence, the reason we have decided not to cast the actress in our upcoming drama.
